  • Characters be dressed (head to toe) and be prepared to give a speech (no longer than 90 seconds) presenting who you are and what you're looking for in a candidate for the next class. (You will turn it in). Candidates dress (upper half at least) and be prepared to give a brief speech (no longer than 90 seconds) introducing yourself and explaining your viewpoint on one of your key issues. The Campaign Managers will give a 20-second speech introducing their character candidate speech. The campaign team makes ads and hangs them in the classroom before class. Also, be prepared to have a commercial on Day 2.

  • Print out and bring to class the Trial of Woodrow Wilson (you don't need to do anything with it yet -- except bring to class.
  • Be prepared for a Quiz/Test (Quest) Thursday/Friday on the West, Gilded Age & Populism Gilded Age/Populism. (Most of the test will be Gilded Age/Progressivism.

  • Prep for the final day of the simulation: Candidates will debate
  • Be prepared for a Quiz/Test (Quest) next class on the West and Progressives. Remember, the bulk of the test is Gilded Age (25%) and Progressive Era(70%) (more on progressives. Also - Know the states) West is only (5%). There are PDFs of my powerpoints and some student notes in files under West, Gilded Age, & Progressives
