  • Start Executive Branch Lecture: Presidential Hats
  • Download (if you haven't) the Cabinet Simulation
  • Print out and read the introduction for the Presidential Power Debate. Also read the first article on each side (New York Times Says) & (Congress Should Say No to Power Grab).
  • Print out and interactively read and be prepared to debate. Is the Presidency too Powerful?: (first two pages only) Write a paragraph introduction to the debate and at least 5 bullet points on the size you choose (all of this is due next Tuesday.

  • Continue Executive Branch Lecture: Role of the president and his growing power
  • :Read and do the Ranking the Presidents Good or Bad packet questions.
  • Print out and interactively read the Presidential Power Debate Primer. You should choose a side for the debate after interactively reading all the materials from Tuesday and today, write an opening statement for one side and write at least 7 bullet points for both sides as you don't know what side you'll be arguing in class. Remember you will be turning in all of your documents for this.

  • Class Discussion/Mini-Debate: Is the Presidency too powerful in America?
  • Lecture: Presidential Passing Legislation
  • Interactively read and summarize Presidential Power and Scotus When you have completed it explain what the non-delegation doctrine is, summarize the article, and then write what you think SCOTUS should do.
  • Work on Khan academy notes and tests. (you don't have to take notes on the quizzes and tests btw. They are due Thursday.
