This class will begin your study of the modern era covering from the French Revolution to modern-day hot spots. The first semester will cover WW1 and the second will end in the modern era with our study of 21st century hot spots.

Ethnic Studies

This course will focus on studying the histories of race, ethnicity, nationality, sexuality, and culture. Students will cultivate respect and empathy for individuals and solidarity with groups of people locally, nationally, and globally so as to foster active social engagement and community building. Particular focus will be given to the contributions, and struggles of different racial and ethnic groups for liberty, equality, and justice in the United States.

This course will teach you the basics of both macroeconomics and microeconomics. It will make up nearly half of your senior-year social studies curriculum. You'll learn the basics of economics, issues in society, world trade, and end the year with a focus on personal finance.
