Meet in MAP Annex for Documentary Rollout Return to class to finish lecture on Gilded Age and start the Progressive Movement |

Prepare for Day 1 of the simulation (each campaign should collaborate on a 'radio commercial' or a 'tv commercial' - the commercials will air on Day 2 & 3 of the campaign). You should put up your 2D posters before class starts on Friday Candidates should be dressed for each day of the simulation and characters should try and look like their person for Day 2 of the simulation Campaign managers, your speech is next class. Introduce your candidate's background and get people excited for them. If you are a character not in a team, you will give your speech on Day 2. It should include the following. 1. Why you are. 2. Why you're important/what you've done 3. What qualities/policies you're looking for in a candidate. 4. Make sure you dress like your character. Campaigns: You will be giving speeches, decorating the classroom, and showing ads. |

Finish the Dubois-Washington sheet we started in class. Prep for second day of the simulation: Presidential & VP speeches (try and focus on 2 issues each and maybe attack another candidate), Commercials, Character Speeches. Characters, you must give a two-three minute speech on who you are, what causes you've stood for, and what you're looking for in a candidate. Make a visual aide that shows your accomplishments, and dress like your character. |
